Ruana ITATI Llama Threads on Loom

Ruana ITAIBATÉ is part of the Federal Collection. They are Works made by hand with Llama Baby wool threads on a loom.

Many times we are asked about the "shearing", This is done in the summer months to the llama troop, the fiber or wool of the llama is cut so that they can grow thicker, stronger and better until the winter times, it is washed in long processes and from here the fleeces are formed ready for spinning and carding to then go to the loom.

We create the work on a rustic loom and we design by hand from shearing, fiber washing, carding and spinning on a spinning wheel, then it is a work of 20 days in loom.

The COFFEE and ADOBE colors are natural from the fiber, without dyeing .
