Poncho "Maimará" , is part of the "Federal Collection" of 23 Wayno textile works.
It is a unique piece woven by hand on a Creole loom with sheep wool threads .
It is a high-density, closed-weave fabric using the comb and caranchado technique .
On a horizontal cloth on a loom we design the work by hand with sheep's wool threads.
It is the work of a family of artisans that collaborates in the care of our traditions and culture.
On this work, there is also the work of llama and sheep breeders, they are families that participate in the value chain of this poncho.
It is handmade from shearing, fleece washing, carding, spinning and hand-making on a loom , it is a high-density, closed-weft and lightweight fabric.
In each work "a story" and this poncho has 25 days of loom work with much love and dedication of many artisans
